New Yorkers are fortunate to have some of the best library systems in the world, with vast collections of ebooks & audiobooks. Those listed below provide access to digital materials for anyone currently residing in New York state. Check library websites for how to download e-reader apps such as SimplyE, Libby, Kindle, and Overdrive. You will need a library card, but you can obtain it online.

Public libraries all publish reading lists by age and topic, and many run summer reading programs.

EPIC!

Epic!

Extensive collection of ebooks & audiobooks, searchable by grade, with the widest array of choices aimed at LS. Town students in 2nd-4th grade have accounts through June 30th. After that their access changes to Epic Free, which allows up to two hours per week of reading from a limited selection of books. At that point parents may opt to subscribe to full access to the Epic library for $7.99 per month. Student access will be available again once we return to school in the fall.
